This book follows the story of Mary Bennet, the younger sister of the famous Elizabeth Bennet (from the Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen). Mary was said to be plain, not as beautiful or as delightful as her sisters. After all of her sisters were married and she was the only one left with her parents, she got the chance to go to London to help her uncle and aunt. There, her story truly begins as she starts to find herself. Far away from her family, she begins to enjoy her life without the constant criticism of her mother, and not long after arriving, she not only finds friends; she may even gain a sister or two.
The Other Bennet Sister is a beautiful book about finding yourself, learning to love who you are, and realizing that your worth and happiness are not controlled by others, but only by you. I loved every page of this book, even when it felt a bit long at times. An absolute must-read for Jane Austen fans.
